King Cole Condominium

When the King Cole Condominium in Miami Beach was in need of a new roof, the Homeowner Association (HOA) hired Advanced Roofing, Inc. (ARI) in the spring of 2018 based on its reputation, understanding of their needs, and recommended scope of work. Their 20,675-square-foot original construction roof was a four-ply tarred organic felt installed directly to the concrete deck, with aggregate surfacing.  Improper flashing details were causing leaks, necessitating the need for a new roof, but the HOA could not decide which type of roof they wanted. ARI presented them with three mockups and they ultimately selected a completely different roofing system, a coal tar pitch based on the long-term (45 years) performance of their current roof.

Anheuser Busch Grain Silo

Advanced Roofing, Inc. (ARI) was hired by the iconic Anheuser-Busch Company based in Jacksonville, Florida to complete a difficult restoration of a 6,000 sq. ft roof on their Grain Silo. The pre-existing roof system, which had many leaks, was located 110’ off the ground and had smoke hatches covering 25% of the roof. At the end of its service life, temporary fixes were made over time; however, these constant repairs were increasing the operational budget while the issues remained unresolved. The roofing system was at risk of eventual failure and was prohibiting the company from making essential renovations inside the building.

Pines 200 Plaza

Pines 200 Plaza, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, appeared to be a standard two-story shopping center, but as is sometimes the case, there were structural problems waiting to be discovered. It had only been five years since a prior roof installation, but the building had experienced leaks during that entire time. This time, the owner spent a great deal of research time to select a new contractor; the name he selected was Advanced Roofing. Once construction began, it was discovered that the sub-framing was substandard and required that the roof slope be re-engineered prior to the installation of the new roof.

When the roof on their 36,400-square-foot aviation hangar began experiencing leaks, Advanced Roofing, Inc. (ARI) was selected to retrofit the existing roof with a new roof on the 50-foot tall hangar. An aging standing-seam metal roof with sealants breaking down between seams and laps of the metal panels was producing leaks inside of the facility.

Jonathan’s Landing

Jonathan’s Landing is an upscale private community located in Jupiter, Florida. Advanced Roofing was called upon to re-roof the golf club building, the Snack Shack, and the covered bridge which led to the golf club at the community’s golf course. A new flat roofing system was installed, as well as, new tile, and copper drip edge. One the project’s biggest challenges was that the golf club was located on a small island. The only access to the island was via a narrow bridge, which made transport of equipment and materials very difficult. Therefore, equipment and materials were placed on one side of the building and the progression of the re-roof had to be done from one side to the other.

Due to Advanced Roofing’s experience with waterproofing systems, they were called in to install a new waterproofing system, not on the roof, but on the ground level. Advanced Roofing fixed the facility’s problem by installing a new Siplast two-ply torch waterproofing system at the terrace decks, entry driveway, and plaza deck walkways, along with the associated Parapro flashings on the walls and flower beds.

Winston 600 Towers

High-rise condos are Advanced Roofing’s specialty, so when Winston 600 Towers selected us as their contractor, we knew we’d have to be at the top of our game. Located in beautiful Sunny Isles Beach, North Miami, the 35,549 square foot Winston 600 sits just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and has miles of touristy beach. The project ran from mid-January to early March. Towering at 24 stories and 250 feet tall, Winston 600 required a 260-foot GCI crane with a 2000-pound hoist. Advanced installed a Johns Manville Perma Mop System and the project was smooth sailing.

Classic Residence by Hyatt

The Classic Residence by Hyatt in Aventura, Florida is not only an active retirement community, but it is also a specialized assisted living facility. This five-year-old property faced a major dilemma when the original waterproofing systems failed.
