As we reflect on the past four decades, it’s evident that Advanced Roofing Inc.’s incredible journey from a modest beginning to one of the nation’s leading roofing and solar contractors is not just our story but a shared narrative crafted with the trust and dedication of our esteemed customers and hardworking employees.

In 1983, Rob Kornahrens founded Advanced Roofing from his Fort Lauderdale living room with a clear vision for its future. Beginning with just a pickup truck and a $15,000 loan, it was the combined dedication of a team that has now grown to over 650 professionals that made this dream a reality. Our path, marked by challenges like recessions, hurricanes, labor shortages, and global pandemics, was navigated with resilience, thanks to our clients’ unwavering support and our team’s enduring spirit.

The accomplishments and accolades we’ve earned over the years are a testament to the partnerships we’ve built. From awards like the prestigious 2022 Roofing Contractor MVP Award to our Construction Manager, Terry Tilson, being spotlighted at the renowned NRCA convention, these milestones reflect our shared commitment to excellence.

Our employees are not just part of a company; they’re part of a legacy. With an industry-leading safety EMR of 0.58 and as a foundational member of Florida’s premier roofing apprenticeship program, we’ve always aimed to provide the best for our people, ensuring they grow as we grow.

The community we serve has always been at the forefront of our mission. Over the years, the company’s Tarpeddlers bike team and myriad other initiatives have contributed over $3,000,000 towards noble causes like the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Winterfest Boat Parade, and Broward Heart Walk. A reflection of this spirit, Kornahrens mentions, “At Advanced, community service isn’t an obligation, but a passion, fueling us to make a difference”.

As we look ahead, with the next generation of the Kornahrens family, Michael and Kevin, poised to guide Advanced Roofing into the future, we’re grateful. We owe our success to every client who trusted us with their projects and every employee who lent their expertise and passion.

In honor of this monumental 40-year journey, we celebrated with many longtime customers, employees, friends, and family at the Seminole Hardrock Hotel Casino on October 12. The ambiance, accentuated by the iconic Guitar Shaped Hotel, reverberated with live music, laughter, and memories. Rob Kornahrens encapsulated the evening’s spirit: “Our 40-year milestone isn’t just a reflection of our past but a beacon, illuminating our unwavering commitment to excellence and customer delight.”
