We are Committed to Safety

At Advanced Roofing, AGT and Advanced Air Systems, our goal is to ensure that every day every employee returns from work to their family and loved ones safely and unharmed. Together we all share the responsibility for ourselves and for our coworkers to have a safe working environment.  We are also committed to our customers to be the leader in the roofing industry when it comes to the safe completion of all projects that we work on.

To achieve this goal, we all need to be trained and find the safest way to do our jobs. We need to be ever vigilant for daily tasks that can present a risk to our safety. Besides making sure we work safely, we also need to feel responsible for the safety of others on our team.  It’s important to point out to others unsafe situations and help them to avoid potential injury.

At Advanced, we understand the risky nature of the roofing business. That’s why we’re dedicated to safety – for our workers, others at the job site, building owners and occupants. This commitment helps create a safe working environment and a secure workforce that can focus on the job at hand.

Advanced takes great pride in the success of our company and employees, and keeping our customers satisfied is at the heart of all we do. We’re dedicated to being leaders in the commercial roofing industry with our full-time Safety Division and established and proven safety program. Our program promotes high safety awareness and enables us to complete jobs on time and on budget, without safety issues.

Here’s further proof of our commitment to safety:

  • According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics 2017 the average Recordable Incident Rate (RIR) for Roofing Contractors is 4.4. Advanced is at 1.21 (RIR) , that’s 72% better than national avg, reaching almost a million hours worked.
  • The industry average for the Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 1.0. Our EMR is currently .58

Our Safety Division is made up of a company director, Bryan Cardona, Safety manager Darwing Silva and currently 3 safety coordinators. Our safety team conducts in-house trainings for fall protection, ladder safety, scaffolds, personal protective equipment, lulls/forklift, aerial lift and platforms, OSHA 10 and 30-hour course. This is what makes us Advanced!

Our company beliefs and values make us a greater place to work, a better provider to our customers, and a more valuable contributor in our communities.
