Safer At Home Executive Order
Governor’s Executive Order 4-1-20
The Governor issued a “Safer At Home” Executive Order, noting “all persons in Florida shall limit their movements and personal interactions outside of the home to only those necessary to obtain or provide essential services or conduct essential activities. ROOFING IS CONSIDERED AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE and, as such, roofers may continue working. This order is effective from 12:01 am on April 3 through April 30, 2020.
What this means to roofing contractors, manufacturers and suppliers: Under the US Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), construction, manufacturing and supply chains are considered “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce” and may remain open. This list also identifies workers who conduct a range of operations and services that are typically essential to continued infrastructure. Critical infrastructure owners and operators are expected to use their own judgment on issues of prioritization of business and processes and workforce allocation to best ensure continuity of the essential goods and services they support.
