Advanced Roofing 35th Anniversary Celebration

Advanced Roofing, Inc. (ARI), Florida’s top-ranked commercial roofing contractor celebrated 35 years of quality service to clients in Florida and the Caribbean in October. To commemorate this milestone, ARI hosted an Oktoberfest themed celebration under its new solar carport on Thursday, October 25th for customers, employees, vendors, friends, and family.

Advanced Roofing’s commitment to quality is at the forefront of every one of its projects, ensuring the most accurate solutions for its customers’ building needs using premium materials and award-winning craftsmanship. President and CEO Rob Kornahrens established Advanced Roofing in 1983 on the fundamental and unwavering principles of providing customers with premium quality, excellent service, and an outstanding team of employees. The company quickly expanded its services to include HVAC, Electrical, Service, Metal, and Crane divisions, to make Advanced Roofing the full-service company that it is today.

Along the way, ARI added branches throughout Florida, including Central Florida, Jupiter and Miami. The company furthered its expansion in 2015 with the acquisition of Tampa’s Roth Bros. of Florida Roofing Company and Roof System Services of Pompano Beach, Florida the following year.

With a commitment to also providing customers with the latest technologies to meet their needs, Rob launched Advanced Green Technologies (AGT) in 2007. This award-winning commercial solar energy contractor was founded to provide customers with the latest and most efficient solar energy technologies, including rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted renewable energy solutions in high-wind zone areas like Florida and the Caribbean. Last year, ARI invested in installing a sixteen-space, 84-kilowatts solar carport at its Fort Lauderdale headquarters. This is the third array on the ARI campus, producing over 124,000-kilowatt hours of energy per year and powering up to 100% of the headquarters main office through clean energy.

ARI is equally committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Rob created a company with a heart by developing an engaged workforce with community service at its core. For 35 years, Advanced Roofing has partnered with nonprofit organizations, as well as executive and leadership groups in Florida and throughout the nation. From starting the ABC Roofing Apprenticeship program in 2014 to raising more than $400,000 since 2003 to help fight Multiple Sclerosis through the 150 MS Bike Ride, ARI is committed to bringing together people and resources to do good and make the communities it does business in better places to work and live.

“People often ask me when I am going to retire and tell them never,” said Kornahrens. l am more excited today then I was when we started the company. I get to work alongside my sons and some of the most talented people in the roofing industry. I am always reminded of the quote from Confucius: ‘Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ That’s honestly how I feel about our company. I am blessed and honored to have made it 35 years and look forward to many more anniversaries and the continued growth of our organization.”
