Publix Distribution Center

In 2015 Publix turned to Advanced Roofing Inc. (ARI), a preferred contractor of Publix since 1992; to have a Moisture Survey performed by a Miami-Dade Approved Testing Laboratory of their distribution facility’s east side in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The 20-year-old, 194,217 square feet, 50-foot-high JP Stevens’ roof was at the end of its service life, and temporary fixes were made over time including many patches. However, the roofing system was at risk of eventual failure that could potentially shut down the building, halting distribution at this critical branch of Publix’s operations. Following the moisture survey, ARI determined there was extensive water damage to the insulation and that it would need to be removed and replaced and then a new roof membrane installed.

Southeast Financial Center

Southeast Financial Center is the tallest office tower in Florida and the second tallest building in Miami. Topping more than 765 feet, the 55-floor building was constructed in 1984 and is home to more than 79 businesses including the United States Postal Service, Goldman Sachs, and the Canadian Consulate. In 2013, Advanced Roofing Inc. (ARI) was selected by Facility Engineering Associates, Southeast Financial Center’s roofing consultant, to re-roof the office building in downtown Miami due to pre-existing leaks under the roof system’s concrete overburden which made it difficult to locate and more costly to repair. Facility Engineering Associates secured ARI for this project because of its proven track record of completing difficult commercial re-roofing projects on time and within budget

Cyril E. King Airport

Cyril E. King Airport is a public airport located four miles east of Charlotte Amalie, the capital of St. Thomas and the largest city in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). Built-in November 1990, the Cyril E. King Airport’s roof had run its course over the last 23 years due to extreme weather conditions on the island. With leaks disrupting daily operations throughout the airport, the management team knew it was time to replace it. In 2013, Advanced Roofing Inc. (ARI) teamed with St. Croix-based general contractor J. Benton Construction Inc. to tear off and re-roof the Cyril E. King Airport. ARI was chosen as the most qualified roofing contractor for the project due to its more than 30 years of experience in re-roofing occupied commercial buildings under extreme weather conditions.
