Advanced Roofing Named Top Fundraiser for the 2020 Virtual Bike MS Ride to Key Largo
Advanced Roofing once again took part in this year’s Bike MS: Breakaway to Key Largo to help end Multiple Sclerosis (MS), raising more than $55,000 and earning a first-place ranking in the Club 100 list of top fundraisers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s race was virtual, with riders gathering online for a weekend of Zoom events where they raised a total of $267,217.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society exists so that people affected by MS can live their best lives. Through events like Bike MS, the largest fundraising cycling series in the world, the Society is able to fund groundbreaking MS research and life-changing programs to support people living with MS and their families. Each year, nearly 75,000 cyclists and more than 6,000 teams from around the world ride together to change the lives of people living with MS. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers and donors have raised more than $1.3 billion to stop MS in its tracks, restore what’s been lost and end MS forever.
ARI has been supporting the National MS Society since 2003, raising more than $600,0000 to help fight Multiple Sclerosis through its Bike MS team.
“Advanced Roofing is a longtime valued partner of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and organization that’s close to my heart,” said President & CEO Rob Kornahrens. “I became involved with Bike MS after a close friend and two of my nieces were diagnosed with the disease. Through them, I’ve seen the tremendous work the organization does firsthand. That’s why I’m so proud that our Advanced Roofing family has built a community of dedicated cyclists and volunteers who help raise awareness of MS and the tremendous working being done by the MS Society. Their support brings hope to those living with MS, and I look forward to working with the team to make next year’s ride even bigger and better.”
Each ride in the Bike MS series offers a unique local flavor. South Florida’s ride has traditionally gone from Miami to Key Largo and back, offering riders a rare view of this tropical paradise from the seat of their bike. To switch things up, the 2021 Bike MS will showcase the beauty that lies north of us as riders pedal from Boca Raton to Jupiter Inlet in Palm Beach County.
We’re committed to bringing together people and resources to do good and make the communities we do business in better places to work and live.
