Key Responsibilities
The Roofing Field Survey Engineer is responsible for gathering project/site information for the preparation of accurate, detailed takeoff, repair and maintenance quotes based on our customers’ needs and expectations.
- Meet with customers to ensure full understanding of needs and expectations
- Perform site visits and accurate takeoff of roofs, staging areas, and logistical hurdles for estimating use.
- Create a photo template of each jobsite
- Attending pre-bid meetings
- Measure roof and all aspects of performing a thorough take off for the Estimators to bid on projects.
- Prepare and provide accurate RoofCad drawings of each takeoff
- Complete thorough and accurate reports of each job through the Site Inspection Form
- Upload notes and documents into CRM system for each job to ensure full, accurate record of each job from beginning to end.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
- 2 years of experience performing commercial roofing take-offs in a site survey technician role
- Thorough knowledge of all commercial roofing systems, codes and application methods
- Advanced knowledge and use of RoofCad
- Experience with CRM Dynamics preferred for data entry and communication tracking
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Successful Pre-Employment Drug test
- Successful Background Check
- Proficient in computer assisted take-off methods, quote reporting and sales/estimating technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; customer-service oriented
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, climb ladders and lift up to 50lbs.
