Leading Florida Roofing Company Announces New Solar Energy System

Advanced Roofing of Central Florida recently added a building-integrated, rooftop solar energy system to its Sanford facility in the Orlando vicinity. The solar photovoltaic system has real-time solar monitoring that measures the environmental offsets generated by the system in tangible terms such as pounds of CO2, gallons of gasoline, and barrels of oil.

“Advanced Roofing takes pride in being at the forefront of the renewable energy industry,” stated Rob Kornahrens, President and CEO of Advanced Roofing.  “The FlexLight solar energy system was installed on our Sanford location to assist in our pursuit for energy independence and to play a major role in reducing greenhouse gases.”

Joined by the City of Sanford Mayor Linda Kuhn, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new solar energy system was conducted on April 21st, 2010.
