The Waverly at South Beach Roof Replacement
The Waverly at South Beach building has a unique roof that had several obstacles. During the construction, several AC units were found to be defective, which replacing caused a several month delay in the re-roofing process.
Platforms were needed to be built on the 36th and 31st floor roofs above a 20-foot parapet wall in order to hoist debris with a hydraulic lift, as a crane was not able to be used.
Demolition was performed during the summer, Florida’s rainy season. Careful scheduling was required for worker safety and prevent leaks from the several penetrations that were required through the roofing membrane.
