Hurricane Preparation Tips for Commercial Roofs
Hurricane Season in South Florida runs from June 1st – November 30th, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center forecasts 14 named storms for 2016, two more than average. Although we have not been struck with a major storm in over a decade, Advanced Roofing reminds customers that when Hurricane Andrew hit in 1992, it was following a major El Niño year. According to AccueWeather.com, “Historically, some hurricane seasons that have followed a transition from El Niño to La Niña have been very active and it’s possible we could flip from below-normal seasons the past three years to an above-normal year in 2016”.
